Nespresso AR Experience Thessaloniki

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

After the launch of the Nespresso Boutique in Glyfada, the company opened a new store in Mediterranean Cosmos in Thessaloniki. The main request was equal; to offer a unique experience to all bystanders and consumers and provide unique content for the 7 stages of coffee production in an engaging way.

Therefore, DTMH designed an exceptional and innovative Augmented Reality Application and placed it in the display case of the new store.

For one whole week, this custom-made AR system invited all people, through a specific call to action, to learn about the 7 stages of coffee production. The process was enriched with an engaging 3D animation that appeared in front of them, presenting each stage, from the collection of coffee nuts until the production of Nespresso capsules.

The final step of the interactive happening allowed the visitor to choose one of the two available new capsules, which were once again presented as 3D animations. Then, the selected capsule was placed on a Nespresso coffee machine. While the AR application was showing the coffee being digitally made, the system was sending a signal to the production team about the person’s choice. To create an even more engaging phygital experience, a member of the production team prepared the same real coffee and a promotion girl offered it to the onlooker.

At this Nespresso project, the differentiation point lies in the number of users, as the Mediterranean Cosmos has countless daily visitors that wish to interact with such creative and unforgettable installations.
